We suspect Darcy was abandoned off Hwy 22, and because he was scared, it took over 4 weeks to be able to catch him with the help of K9 Recovery Services. Now that he's been with us awhile, he's been vetted, regained lost weight and is looking good. Emotionally, though, Darcy is still untrusting of strangers (noticeably men), and it's going to take the right person to come forward for him in a new home. He'd likely be a good country-dog with perimeter work, and his big bark is quite threatening. We think he's in the 4 - 5 year old range. Someone with breed knowledge, and those who have worked with and managed a fearful dog with a protective nature will be important.
